Are there as many casually discarded syringes lying around as there used to be? Back in 2006, I came across at least a couple dozen on the 30-minute walk from the train station to my hotel.

hi there. urm....i stumbled upon your blog while i was looking for some information on uganda. i'm actually a university student planning on going for a one year exchange programme to uganda from aug 2010 to ard may or june 2011. seeing that the elections are coming in 2011, i would just like to ask if u think it would be okay to actually go? like whether there are gonna be lots of safety issues and stuff....i'm actually looking at makerere university in kampala.... thanks a lot :) if u don't mind, could u kindly drop me an email at the given email add??
