Teenager: oh-so-slowly drape arm over back of couch or movie theater chair, then inch it along date's shoulders.
Twentysomething: oh-so-slowly remove arm from under body of sleeping lover in order to go to bathroom / make breakfast / rummage in her handbag for a driver's license to check name / escape.
Parent: oh-so-slowly remove arm from under sleeping baby while so-carefully transferring baby from arms to crib.
I wonder what the elderly person variant of this move is. Or maybe it's just everything, life in general? Old folks seem to do a lot of things very slowly and carefully.
