Okay, I'm never really sure how to figure out if floppy comics are dying because they've gotten increasingly silly since I quit reading them in my late teens, or if my reading tastes have changed, they're silly as always, and other global factors are killing them. But seriously, I don't seem to remember anything as dumb as Civil War ("A state monopoly on force is evil and fascist!") during the days of Claremont X-Men. But then, I fear to return to things I enjoyed as a teen after a few experiences with what James Nicoll calls the crap fairies.

If it kills the superhero books, all for the better. Just leave my Vertigo stuff and Jonah Hex untouched.
