Petra's fun, and visually amazing. I went with a Jordanian cousin of friend and a passel of Bedouin guides. If you bribe the right people, you can wander onto places "closed to the public."

I'm also perfectly happy to blather on again about what to do in Jordan, or whatever you might need.
