Two questions, of course.

(1) What will happen to Armenian telecoms reform if the project ends? Conversely, what would have happened had it been extended?

(2) Is Barbados still in the running?

Mike R.

One thing I did when I decided my time in Japan was at an end was make a list of everything I wanted to do in country before I left, and then I ranked them in order of importance. It gave me a nice structure and game plan for my remaining time.

Is there much in Armenia that you really want to do before you leave?

Doug M.

Telecoms reform: Answer unclear, ask this question again later.

Barbados: Sadly, no. (Very sadly.)

That's awful. Why was Barbados negged?

Doug M.

Because everyone and his brother wanted that posting, and I didn't have the clout to make the short list.

It was a project that covered much of the Caribbean, but was based in Barbados. So, best of both worlds: live in Barb, but fly around all over the place.

Anyway. I've reached a point in my career where my choices are becoming... interestingly contingent. But that probably deserves a post of its own.
