Today we walked to Heufurt and back.
"We" is Alan, David and me. "Heufurt" is the next town down the main road. There's a nice bike path that takes you there across the fields. The town itself is nothing special -- about half the size of Fladungen, and everything closed for Sunday -- but there's a nice church sitting up on a hillside above the town; a few minutes climb up some stairs gives you a view all up and down the valley of the Streu.
"And back" was about 5 km or 3 miles. Which is not too bad for a five year old and a six year old.
Lovely day, warm enough to melt half the snow, the sun ducking in and out of clouds, ditches full of meltwater. The boys complained a little and then got into it. Afterwards they were both very pleased with themselves.
And that was pretty much Sunday.
