Back to Yerevan for ten days. It's a short-term assignment (corporate governance of banks) that will keep me there through next weekend. Take the train to Frankfurt in a few hours, catch a flight to Prague, red-eye to Yerevan (well, pretty much all flights to Yerevan are red-eyes) will get me there at 4:30 am.
Claudia gets to fly solo for the next few days with three little boys and a baby who is still slightly sickish. (She had bronchitis. Only slowly recovering.) Not an ideal time for me to vanish off to the lower Caucasus, but the work is where it is. So, if you have kind thoughts to spare, send them her way.
On the plus side, we were running out of the good Armenian brandy. So there's that.
